I’m not sure why I haven’t written since last October.
Was I so super busy I haven’t had time to indulge my passion for writing?
Perhaps the whole Covid experience, whilst mild for those living in NZ compared to the rest of the world, has sucked away my inspiration.
Maybe I have used my creativity, if you could call it that, to redesign our kitchen and work on wedding ‘stuff’.
Yes, we upgraded the kitchen.
Pretty pleased with it.

And yes, we are finally getting married.
November this year.
My son and daughter-in-law were the last ones in our family to get married.
They made the preparation look very easy.
Hmmmmm, good job guys, I can now appreciate all you did to make your big day go so smoothly.
I started our prep in January, keen to make sure that Covid and supplies didn’t impact.
I’ve had a lot of time to think, plan, gather, create.
Maybe that’s where my creative juices have wandered.
Although I guess I have been working most of this year.
I officially retired last year and had no intention of returning to work, certainly not full time, like I did for a few months earlier in the year.
Yet, the call came in from Council in December to help.
And help I have.
I’ve enjoyed it, it’s been nice to reconnect with my professional side.
You can sort of get lost and a little aimless when you haven’t actually prepared yourself for ‘retirement’.
Anyway, hopefully I am going to feel creative over the next few weeks and regale you with tales of our travels.
We are about to board a plane to the good ole’ USA.
A school reunion but most exciting, catching up with MoD’s family.
Watch this space.
Hopefully.
