As I sat beside the pool, a lovely Balinese lady came and placed an offering, complete with beautiful incense on the pool steps. In Bali and in Balinese Hindu culture, these small offerings are called canang sari. They’re placed on sidewalks, entrances, shrines, and businesses as daily offerings of gratitude and balance.
