Five O’clock somewhere. That’s what the sign says.

Yes it definitely is.
But right now we were in Jimmy Buffet’s Margarita Bar.
It was 3pm.
In the Mall of America.
Located in Bloomington Minnesota, it is the largest mall in the United States, the largest mall in the Western Hemisphere and the ninth largest mall in the world.
520 retail and speciality stores and 50 restaurants.
Our hosts, MoD’s older brother and sister-in-law, thought this might be a nice treat for me seeing we didn’t quite get there last time we visited. They are really looking out for me, indulging my need for coffee, finding Starbucks, supplying me with vodka…….
And it was a nice treat.
Right there in the middle of the MoA, actually I can’t say in the middle for sure, as we probably only saw 1/8 of the place in the 3 hours we were there, was an amusement park.

My destination was Lego Land. I had spied some things in a lego catalogue that I thought our grandson might like. Which of course are way beyond his construction capabilities. Lucky his engineering father has a passion for Lego.
I would have to say our little man did well.

I’m not really a great shopper to be honest.
Which is a weird thing to say given I actually shop quite a lot.
When I am in my home country.
My shopping expeditions are usually pretty fast.
In. Scan wildly (picture wide open, wild eyes), scoot around anyone in my way, see something I like, grab, don’t try on (no time for that rot), purchase, gone.
That’s me.
So it was quite nice to take a leisurely stroll through MoA today.
Very unlike me.
After that, we tracked back home for a wonderful home cooked meal (thanks Lori) and a relatively early night to bed.
Tomorrow we hike.
