I’m a little behind with keeping this travel blog and it’s late so this will be short (and I laughed and laughed).
Truth is it probably just won’t make sense.
We left Egg Harbor and headed to Green Bay via Sister Bay, Cave Point and Algoma.
Thought we would just drive through Sister Bay, crane our necks a bit at Lake Michigan maybe, but when we saw Al Johnsons Swedish Restaurant with grass on it’s roof along with three live goats, well we just had to stop. I mean who wouldn’t?

I was fascinated by the fact there were no substantial gutters to catch any ‘byproducts’ – to put it delicately. Not sure I would have chosen those particular chairs to sit at.

Sister Bay is the largest community in Northern Door with the most restaurants open all year. It also has a nice little beach and waterfront. The main thing is that it holds an annual Goat Parade and a Goat Festival. What more could one ask for. Really? Of course I only got pics of the goats.
Once we had our fill of goats, figuratively speaking, we headed south with a quick stop at Baileys Harbour.
Where they share beach toys. Pretty cool.

Onwards and upwards, well downwards and southwards, we kept going with a quick detour via Cave Point.
We weren’t actually sure what Cave Point had to offer but thought it must have been pretty special when we saw the crowd.
Cave Point is well known for its wave-worn dolomite/limestone ledges, underwater caves and amazing view of Lake Michigan. And where everyone jumps from the ledge.
We considered whether we should don the togs and jump. Fortunately for me there was a breeze and it was a little brisk. Can’t get my golden locks wet you know.

From there a quick drive though quaint Algoma before arriving in Green Bay with just enough time for a rest before meeting friends Dave and Carol for dinner. The below is of course Algoma.

Big day out. Green Bay post tomorrow.
